For lesson today, Practical 3.
We learnt how to use the world-known search engine, Google. At first, i wasn't really impressed because i thought that Google is just like other engines that can only search for your desired topic with only accurate words, but i was wrong. From this practical, i learnt how to search with keywords and variations of my topic.
I find the auto-complete search bar function is really a great help to the user too.
When participating in the discussion forum, i felt like i am just a person giving my thoughts and comment on the topic and also if possible, i will suggest some ideas. Definitely it is helpful for my research because there are also other people around the world giving feedback regarding the topic. I don't really feel anxious when talking to strangers on the net. At the very least, they don't know where i am staying at and doesn't have any of my contacts. So i think that it is rather safe.
Citations are references to sources from the net/people. It tells people whether the work is done by someone else or yourself. More of like to give recognition to the original wellsprings of those idea when using another's quotes/work/article.

500 dollars !?
heh, im given 500 dollars for shopping! after much consideration, ive decided to get a good bathroom shower head for myself. Imaging yourself all worn out from work and when you return home, the first thing that you want to do most is to head towards the bathroom to enjoy a refreshing bath. With help from this practical, i now understand that there are different categories of internet resources like for example, Organisational website, Blog, Magazine/Journal and a Discussion forum. Now, i can understand what the site's purpose is and tell what category the resource is.

Fishing is what i am passionate about.
Fishing, give people a sense of calmness. It's one of the best feelings you can experience in life. Even if there is no bite throughout the fishing trip, one should not feel depressed because fishing requires a lot of patience.
